Cesar Abella was born and raised in San Francisco. His interest in writing began when he was eight years old. He studied Playwriting at UCLA’s School of Theater Film and Television, and received his master’s degree in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. His plays have been performed in Los Angeles, New York, and London, and have won several awards, including the Out of Character Monologue Competition, The Hollywood Fringe Festival Producer’s Encore Award, and the Theatre Unleashed New Play Award. He is the writer and director of the short film The Price of Getting High, which won an Award of Merit from IndieSHORTS Film Festival.
